I remember once I saw someone say that kunizai makes no sense bc actually the gun scene was dazai manipulating kuni into thinking he could trust him which is like. BLATANTLY WRONG??? The whole point of that scene was that they had so much trust in eachother despite hardly knowing eachother (it had only been like 5 DAYS since dazai was hired im pretty sure??? ) oh and also literally what would he need to manipulate him over. Also Dazai does care for Kuni he literally asks him about why he cares about Rokuzo so much and then tries to console him when he says that it's because he blames himself for his fathers death. Also that whole speech he gave him after killing sasaki.

His saviour complex and overal moral ocd is sooo fucking strong which is exactly why he should be paired with a guy who can't be saved!!!!! Guy who almost went to prison bc he blamed himself for a childs death sooo hard that he purposfully wanted to plead guilty even though he fr did NOTHING. litearlly nothing he could do to save that child from blowing up. Do you guys think he would blame himself for Dazais death if he fr did die. Ok ok ill stop now.

Hi did u know they make me soooo sick whenever i think of them i feel HORRIBLE and AWFUL but they also mean so much to me. Genuinly when i think of him as a character Kunikida already has me DEAD on the floor but when you pair him up with dazai it makes me feel a little bit like im going to die a second death.

Kunikida WAS truely made to suffer along Dazai because theres no way for him to help him without hurting himself. Dazai's perpetual state of "unwell and doing bad" (to put it bluntly) is something that tbh I don't think will ever be truely "fixed" especially with how the storys going so far (doesnt help that the last chapter they were in together was published 8 years ago. please. kunizai reunion when.) Pair this with a guy who like i said earlier will literally tear himself apart and blame himself over other peoples problems and. Confetti emoji.

something something kunikida odasaku parallels... do you ever think about how 2 years after losing odasaku Dazai gets paired up with a guy who also has a strong moral code. that is literally tearing him apart.

also yuo should definetly read Dazai's Entrance Exam btwwwww (sorry its my duty as a kunikida fan and kunizai shipper.) whole time i was reading it i kept having to remind myself that this all takes place in the span of like. a little less than a week. they barely know eachother. Dazai JUST joined the agency and theyre already acting Like That. head in hands omg get a room.

id also like to mention that they can also be stupid together <3 there are many such cases. such as when they were invited to join the fbi that one time.

my friend clem says kunizai is like sewing a blanket and accidentally poking urself with a needle and tbh i get it. "oh they seem wholesome maybe ill start shipping them" WRONG. ANGST BLASTER 3000 GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yes sewing that blanket will make you all warm and nice but also the stabbing. and also thats like basically them if u think about it... everyone who says theyre the more fluffy ship are liars ive only ever found angst fics about them why must they suffer greatly. sigh. they are going to be my downfall.
